About this home
Woodbury House is on Jouldings Lane in Farley Hill, north of Reading. It's a three-floor nursing home in the Berkshire countryside. Belmont Healthcare took over from Four Seasons Health Care in April 2025. Same building families already know. New operator, new investment, same address.
There are lounges and dining rooms on each floor, plus a dedicated dining room and single bedrooms. Wi-Fi throughout. Outside there's a wildlife-friendly garden, a summer house, and veg grown on site. Chefs serve a daily menu with real choice. Activities include pet therapy, reading club, music and knitting. Birthdays and bank holidays get the full treatment.
The home offers residential care, nursing, dementia care, respite and palliative care. Staff build a care plan around each resident: hobbies, mobility, diet, clinical needs. Self-funders can book respite at four weeks for the price of two, or eight for four. Handy after a hospital stay, if you want to try the home before moving in permanently, or if a family carer needs time off.
